“Three-dimensional façade at Praterstern”“Together with the architecture studio of Günter Mohr we developed a new three dimensional corrugated façade as an update to the old office building.““The building from the 60ies was redesigned and newly equipped to provide a contemporary working environment for 305 employees.“The Austrian Railway Company ÖBB was aming to gather their facilities around the Viennese Praterstern, aligning with an internal reorganization of the company. Therefore the former high-quality office building from the 60ies needed a redesign to fit the standards of contemporary working environments. Two out of four staircases were taken out of the scheme, all the windows were replaced and a modern sun shading system implemented. The light green corrogated façade revives the visual appearance of the building towards the square as well as to the railway tracks operated by ÖBB nearby.“Today the light flooded foyer articulates a clear address also through the implementation of a precious terrazzo floor.““The rooftop on the 8th floor was redeveloped into a roof garden for all employees working within the office.“P R O J E C T D E T A I L S
