“An eleven-storey vertex, positioned opposite the main station square, creates a new landmark in the district, complementing the existing vertices to create a more integrated ensemble.”
“The rectangular form creates triangular edges, adding value to the city, and gifting space back to the public.”
Continuing from the entrance, a central atrium serves as a platform for enabling the flow of people. A generous open staircase directs visitors and clients to the first floor. The four windmill-style cores serve as clear circulation routes both to the offices and escape routes. The escape route lengths and widths are resolutely adhered to.
The ring-shaped core zone functions as a main pathway connecting all cores and acting as a space for interaction and the heart of LDZS. Here, employees can meet and exchange. A clear hierarchy of pathways is provided. The windmill-style placement is incorporated into the atrium and continued.
“By way of the transparent interstice formation further core spaces are generated, the green atrium is visible on the façade, becoming transparent and presenting latent views inside, outside and through the building.”
“Secured cores are placed between office areas and common communication spaces, by way of their decentralized arrangement.”
