“An architecturally-landscaped ensemble.”“The listed building is adapted, further developed and historical qualities are enhanced through careful interventions. The single-storey concert hall, tactfully placed behind the two wings and a glass interstice, is subordinate. The historic facade mutates into an interior facade.”“The classic cour d’honneur is reactivated and reinterpreted, whilst new entrances from all cardinal directions integrates and improves the building‘s position in the urban plan. The new generous foyer, an interior extension of the courtyard enables shorter pathways and radial access to all rooms at ground level.”“A terrace on the roof of the new concert hall, tribune seating carved into the landscape with a view onto the open-air stage, the park planned in the historic English Landscape Garden style create an architecturally-landscaped ensemble dedicated to music – a work in progress with many opportunities.”
